Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Launches Golden Jubilee Publication Celebrating 50 Years of Solidarity, Impact and Hope

– The Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) has launched its landmark Golden Jubilee Publication, titled "Stronger Together: Celebrating 50 Years of Solidarity, Impact and Hope," marking five decades of development, partnership, and progress across its 57 Member Countries. The Publication was unveiled by H.E. Dr. Muhammad Al Jasser, Chairman of the IsDB Group, during the IsDB Governors' Luncheon held on the margins of the World Bank and IMF Annual Meetings in Washington, D.C.

In his remarks, Dr. Al Jasser described the Publication as a significant milestone, emphasising that 'Our legacy is not measured in figures, but in people: lives uplifted, opportunities created, and hope restored.', underscoring the enduring importance of solidarity and cooperation among Member Countries in addressing shared challenges and achieving sustainable prosperity.

The Publication reflects a compelling narrative that blends historical retrospection with a forward-looking vision, showcasing IsDB's uniqueness as an institution like no other – the only MDB whose entire membership consists of emerging and developing countries in the South, for the South, by the South. It highlights key milestones, landmark projects, and transformative initiatives that have improved the lives of millions of people globally, showcasing a fascinating diversity of voices. Instead of a one-dimensional account, the editors have curated reflections from a diverse range of beneficiaries, including representatives from member countries.

Through a rich blend of storytelling, data visualisation, and imagery, it brings to life how the Bank's investments in infrastructure, education, health, climate action, and trade have supported Member Countries in realising their development aspirations.
